You want to search the internet? There is more than just "Google"!
SearXng is a meta search engine. It queries anonymously multiple search engines at once and combines the results.
Why you should use SearXng:
- No targeted algorithms but honest independent results
- No AI twisting of the results
- It uses multiple providers (Google, Bing, Brave, etc) so you get more results
- It doesn't store or sell any of your search data
- It has many configuration options
- You will stay anonymous (it even has an Onion address)
- It is open source, so everyone can verify that the claims are true
- It is completely free (although a donation would be appreciated)
The Floating Lab proudly hosts one of the SearX instances.
If you try the search engine for the first time, it will present you a captcha to make sure that you are not one of the many bots that try to abuse the website. The captcha will only appear once in a few weeks.
